/UPI Full Form
The full form of UPI is Unified Payments Interface.
It is a real-time payment system developed by NPCI that powers instant bank transfers on apps like PhonePe or Google Pay, meaning you can send money using just a VPA (like yourname@upi) instead of typing long account numbers. It runs on the existing IMPS rails, which is why the money hits the other person's bank account almost instantly, even on a Sunday or a bank holiday.
You use it daily to scan QR codes at shops, pay bills, or instantly add funds to your stock brokerage account to buy shares. Because a Unified Payments Interface makes moving money so fast, review your spending history to ensure you have enough left over for your actual investment goals.
