Limit Order

What is a Limit Order?

Don't want to pay whatever crazy price the market is demanding right now? You use this. It is an instruction to your broker to buy or sell a stock only if it hits a specific price you set. If you place a buy limit order at ₹100, the system will wait patiently and only execute if the stock drops to that level. The downside is that the stock might never reach your price, meaning your order expires unfulfilled. It gives you total control but requires a lot of patience.
