/AMFI Full Form
The full form of AMFI is the Association of Mutual Funds in India.
Think of it as a standard-setter for all mutual fund houses in the country, ensuring they follow the rules and don't mislead regular investors. SEBI is the main regulator, but AMFI handles the ground-level work, such as training agents and running awareness ads. Common examples of their work include giving out ARN numbers to distributors.
If you are investing in mutual funds through an Association of Mutual Funds in India-registered agent, make sure you first assess whether those funds actually fit your risk profile.
