ETF Full Form

What is the Full Form of an ETF?

The full form of the ETF is Exchange Traded Fund.

It is basically a mix between a stock and a mutual fund. You get a basket of underlying assets like the Nifty 50 index, but you buy and sell it on the stock exchange exactly like a regular share at real-time market prices. Since no fund manager actively selects stocks, ETF management fees are extremely low compared to regular mutual funds. Retail investors love them for taking broad market bets without paying heavy commissions.
