/NPS Full Form
The full form of NPS is the National Pension System.
It is basically the government's way of making sure you don't go broke after retiring. You put money in regularly until you turn 60, and it gets split between stocks and government bonds based on your risk appetite. When you finally retire, you can only withdraw 60% of the total amount as a lump sum. The rest must be utilized to purchase an annuity plan that provides a monthly pension. The tax benefits are solid, though it completely locks your money away.
