What is the Full Form of OFS?
The full form of OFS is Offer for Sale.
Sometimes, a company’s existing promoters or big shareholders want to cash out some of their shares. Instead of doing a full IPO, they dump a chunk of shares to institutional and retail investors through this much faster route. SEBI actually created this method to make it easier for companies to meet the minimum 25% public shareholding rule. Retail investors can often grab these shares at a small discount to the actual market price.
