/AUM Full Form
The full form of AUM is Assets Under Management.
Basically, it's the total market value of all the money a mutual fund house or portfolio manager is currently managing. This includes both the initial money investors put in and any profits generated over time. When you see a fund with a massive AUM, it usually means many people trust that fund manager with their money. However, a bigger AUM doesn't automatically mean better returns, since it gets harder for large funds to move quickly in the market.
Before you put money into a scheme with high Assets Under Management, check if the fund's size is actually helping or hurting its performance first.
