What is the Full Form of OI?
The full form of OI is Open Interest.
This one is purely for the options and futures crowd. It indicates the total number of active contracts still open in the market. If the Nifty rises and OI increases, it means fresh money is pouring in. But if the Nifty rises while OI drops, people are actually closing out their positions. Options traders stare at this data constantly to guess where the real market strength is hiding.
